Travel approximately one hour, from your hotel in Basel to Kriens, either by luxury minivan, minibus or coach, depending on the size of the group. First stop, Mount Pilatus, 7000 feet to the top, via a four-person mini-gondola, then transfer to a 55-passenger gondola. Your driver or tour guide, will accompany your group. Relax and enjoy the breathtaking view over Lake Luzern and the Swiss Alps.
After about a two hour stay, lunch not included, you will descend Mount Pilatus, towards Alpnach, with the steepest cogwheel train in the world, with an 48% gradation. You will then take a lovely drive along lake Lucerne to the city center, where you will be guided through Old Town, with some free time included. Then back to Basel either to your Hotel or directly to your ship where you start your cruise.
